Saturday 14th February was the final day of operation for FirstGroup in Cornwall, a significant day in the evolving history of West Country bus services. Trust Supporters joined the Cornwall Bus Preservation Society (CBPS) as they marked the occasion by duplicating selected bus services with CBPS preserved buses Nos 1121 and 1228, starting from Camborne from 14:26.

To endorse this FirstGroup tribute, Trust Supporters travelled in Bristol VRT No. 1203 in First's pink fade livery together with Mercedes 811D No. 357 resplendent in First's Badgers and Flags livery.

Rather than a celebration, the event acknowledged the people, vehicles, and history that have kept Cornwall moving for decades and the Trust echoes the CBPS sentiments.

A review of the heritage and pictures from the final day event are included in the Souvenir Programme for the Penzance Vintage Bus Day on 19th April.
