These stunning buses and coaches will radiate from The Parade in the centre of Taunton on Sunday 1 June, giving FREE rides to town and country destinations.

There will also be a changing display of buses and coaches on Castle Green through the day as they rest between services.  Participating vehicles represent 60 years of bus travel from the 1940s into the 21st century.  The story will be brought up to date by one of the new First Bus electric buses introduced in a collaboration with Somerset Council which will be on display.

Information about the participating buses and coaches is given here.  An updated overview of the routes will follow.  Further details, including timetables and the allocation of vehicles, are given in the Souvenir Programme which will be available in advance so you can plan your day.  Copies can be purchased online or from outlets locally from 21 May.

The Souvenir Programme includes an illustrated article on the development of Taunton and its Buses - past, present and future complementing our Exhibition in Taunton Library from  27 May to 7 June.  Another feature looks at the work to restore a 65 year old Taunton double-deck bus to its former glory, revealing links to Hatchers, Taunton's Own Department Store, which is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2025.

Entries from bus and coach owners are still welcome using the online form.

Further information about the Taunton vintage bus day can be found here.
