The washing and polishing undertaken by Supporter saw a smartly turned out fleet at the Vintage Bus Day centred on The Parade in Taunton on Sunday 31st May,

The Taunton Town Shuttles, in striking 'rhubarb & custard' livery, were new some 40 years ago. The innovation and legacy for today's town services were explained using photographs and documents from the archive within the programme The very first Taunton Town Shuttle, No. 300 took pride of place back in Taunton on 31st May - now preserved it gave free rides (just 16 at a time!) at the vintage bus day.

With 18 double-deck buses and 13 other single-deck buses and coaches entered, there was plenty of capacity and choice, covering a range of new and revised routes alongside regular favourites. Click here for an overview.
