The Coaches, Buses and Routes
In February 1925 Greyhound Motors established a daily express coach service between Bristol and London. The centenary will be celebrated in coaching style at Cheltenham, the home of Associated Motorways in which Greyhound Motors played a significant part.
The Souvenir Programme (available to pre-order now) includes an authoritative, lavishly illustrated, article by Martin Curtis, retelling the Greyhound story. The content is significantly different but complements the piece that appeared in the February 2025 edition of Buses magazine.
In addition to the Cheltenham celebration, a Greyhound Centenary coach run between Bristol and London was masterminded by Mike Walker in February 2025 with four preserved coaches from the Bristol Greyhound fleet. An illustrated record of the commemorative run is also included in the Cheltenham Souvenir Programme.
The Classic Coach Gathering 2025 will provide a rare opportunity to admire coaching style from across the decades with opportunities to experience bygone luxury travel.
